Chair: Nicole Skelly

Bio:

Mrs. Skelly is a devoted wife, mother, and hardworking small business owner. A lifelong advocate for limited government, she has consistently exercised her civic duty by voting in every election and staying well-informed about legislation and public policy. After 9/11, she began a journey that would lead her to Libertarianism.
Though never envisioning herself in an activist role, she came to recognize that meaningful change often requires individuals to step forward when institutions fail to protect liberty. As the adage reminds us, if one wants a task done properly, and with proper respect for individual rights, one must take responsibility for it oneself.
The COVID-19 pandemic, with its sweeping lockdowns, mandates, and unprecedented state overreach, proved to be the decisive moment in her awakening. These heavy-handed measures exposed the extent of government intrusion into personal and economic freedom, along with the frequent inconsistencies and misrepresentations propagated by public officials. What began as quiet concern evolved into active resistance against encroachments on voluntary association, private property rights, and the fundamental principle that individuals (not bureaucrats) should control their own lives and livelihoods.
